The Rideau District Museum

Located at 29 Bedford Street, Westport, Ontario Canada

Built in the 1850's there is always lots to explore at the Rideau District Museum in beautiful Westport, Ontario, Canada. 

Some of our most-treasured artifacts included:

  • A child's casket that was on display during the life of the coffin shoppe
  • The windows from Sir John A. Macdonald's hearse
  • Sally Grant ~ The Statue of Justice from the Brockville Court House carved in 1842
  • One of the few surviving dump carts from the building of the Rideau Canal (circa 1832)
  • Local history and genealogical information
